*SUMMER 2024 DISCOUNT PRICE $25/half hour * (June 23-August 18) My hope is that this discount price will help some parents during these financially challenging times. Does your child need extra help with math — Elementary Math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2? I can help your child with the topic of a current homework assignment/course of study, or with a specific math area of difficulty: from basic math through high school math. To gain a better understanding of the child's needs, I will first review the topic and then spend time completing a few sample problems (similar to the homework assignment). This will give students a successful head start in completing their assignment. Most importantly, I will explain the information in a way that's easy to understand. Children can do math! In this one-time class, students will review previously learned material and/or practice current math topics being learned. Basic math topics include operations with fractions, decimals and whole numbers, percents, order of operations, LCM, GCF, graphs, integers, square roots, area and perimeter, word problems, and geometry basics. Algebra topics include real numbers, product and quotient rules for exponents, linear equations, graphing lines, solving linear systems, polynomials and their operations, factoring and solving by factoring, measures of central tendency, conjunctions, exponents, angles in polygons, finding the slope and the quadratic formula. Geometry topics include lines, planes, angles, parallel lines, triangles, similarity, trigonometry, quadrilaterals, transformations, circles and area, proofs, congruence, right triangles, trigonometry, and analytic geometry. Parents: In order for me to help your child more effectively, feel free to upload any homework sheets/practice problems or send the name of any topics prior to the tutoring sessions. **If you are interested in having your child meet for tutoring on a regular basis, please let me know. I can open an ongoing session.** I look forward to helping your child experience success in math.
