Class Experience

In this class, students will be introduced to various practices that help lay the foundation for mental health and wellness. This class is mostly lecture-based, where students will be provided with information about stress and burnout, in addition to learning about coping mechanisms and self-care strategies. Students will be provided with a copy of my Self-Care Prep & Planning Guide to complete on their own after the class has finished.

This class is designed to be relevant for every student. My hope is that anyone taking it will walk away with at least a couple strategies that they can implement in their own lives, even if they have already done some learning on this topic in the past. There is no prior knowledge required, and there is no requirement for class participation. Due to the sometimes sensitive nature of the topic of mental health, there will be limited opportunities for interaction to protect student privacy and prevent any sharing of confidential student health information.

**Please note: This is not an individual or group counseling session, nor is it a support group. This class is presented as strictly informational.**
