This class will teach students how they can develop good habits around personal finance management - via leveraging the The 3 Bucket System: Spending, Savings and Investing (we take a deep dive into spending this class). This course will cover the following concepts: budgeting, valuing the idea of trading time for money and understanding what a consumer economy is (and the role of your spending). We also explore definitions of key personal finance terms (ex. Savings, Investing, Cash Flow,...
Students will began to discover that spending money does not have to be limited to consuming upon their needs and wants - but they can spent to invest (and still save).
Norris Wright is a Business and Sales Leader (20 years practiced), holds an MBA and taught as a school teacher for several years. Additionally he owns/operates Strategy and Context Consulting LLC (which owns these courses and whereby he conducts workshops with youth in the community). He has a passion for informing the youth with Life Skills (the stuff not taught in school but the stuff our kids need to learn)
This is a single course so the vocabulary discussions will be our in class assignment
Assessment will occur through discussion (after videos, lecture/slides - where questions are embedded into the presentation). Teacher will monitor the zoom chat room to gauge feedback by student. Therefore for this class much of the assessment will be informal.
