Description

Class Experience

Students will: 
1. Learn about story structure 
2. Learn about story elements (characters, plot, setting, conflict/problem, solution)
3. Listen to a story and identify the story elements
4. Create their own characters
5. Plan their stories in class
6. Write their stories between meetings
7. Share their stories in the second meeting with the teacher and other students
Fantasy Story Project: After the first meeting, students will write and illustrate a story that they can share with the class in the second meeting. 
 2 files available upon enrollment
I will send each student a PDF packet file upon enrollment which can be printed out before class. Please bring any art supplies or craft materials you would like so that you can begin to work on your story book project. We will be doing a lot of brainstorming activities on Day 1. Students will get to write and illustrate their stories between classes. On Day 2, students will bring their finished stories to class to read and present.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
1 hour per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
