In this one-time princess themed class, students will listen to a read aloud "Never Let a Princess Paint with Her Unicorn!" by Diane Alber, practice retelling the story, and create a paper dress craft. The teacher will dress up as a princess character to add whimsy and fun to the class environment. Students are more than welcome to wear their princess attire to class as well. We will begin class by introducing ourselves and establishing a positive, supportive, and warm learning environment....
Students will be able to listen to the read aloud story, retell the story by describing the characters, setting, and major events and practice fine motor and creativity skills by making a paper dress craft.
Optional: Students can complete their paper dress craft if needed. Students can practice retelling the story to family and friends. Students can describe their paper dress craft to their family and friends.
