You are invited to a royal tea party! Put on your favorite princess dress and join us for a virtual tea party. In this one time class, we will practice appropriate conversation and learn about manners. We will have pretend play, listen to a story and make new friends. Students do not have to have real food or tea. We will pretend (students and teacher with pretend to pass food to each other) and have fun. This will be a social class and I will make sure that all learners have time to talk and participate in the class. The class will consist of a slide show, conversation time, pretend play, a story and talking about manners. We will begin class with a song and then introductions. Students will then share what items they have for their tea party(tea pot, cups, pretend food, real food). For example, "My name is Mrs. Michelle and I have strawberry cake, cupcakes and ice cream at my tea party. Class will continue with an introduction to princess manners. We will then role play and practice the manners we have learned. Time permitting students will play a game about princess manners. *real food seems to be a huge hit with previous students!
