Class Experience

Each class your little princess will practice ballet movement and technique, learn a dance to a favorite Princess song, and share what she loves about the Princess of the day!

Each class begins with sharing what we love about the Princess of the day! We will then move into a warmup and stretch on the floor. Next we will stand up and begin across the floor and center floor where we will learn ballet dance movement and terminology. We will end class with a ballet dance fit for a princess. As always, if there is time, we will play a Princess themed game or Freeze dance.

Parental Guidance
Please create a space that is open and large enough for your dancer to move, dance, jump and glide without bumping into things. Learners should wear comfortable clothing that they can easily move in. Ballet or Princess attire is encourage, but not required. Learners should either wear ballet shoes or have bare feet. Please no socks, as dancers can easily slip while wearing them. Dancers may have a water bottle nearby, and take a sip when needed. Please help your learner know how to mute and unmute themselves. There could be times during the class when this skill is needed.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello my name is Miss Ashton and I teach dance and art classes!
I graduated with my bachelors in dance from Texas Woman's University and my Masters in dance as well! I am currently pursuing my Montessori degree to teach students with learning differences in a classroom setting. I have been dancing for twenty-three years and loves to teach children. I teach because I love seeing a student grow within a classroom. I love when my students enhance their strategies through learning new ideas everyday. My method is to teach my students with enthusiasm and I strive to remain on the student's level as much as possible! I am very artistic and loves to teach outside the box.
