Class Experience

Each class dancers will learn ballet movement, technique and terminology. Possible movements include, but are not limited to: plie, tondue, 5 positions of the feet, releve, port de bras, posse, pique, degage, grand battement, chaine, saute, eschappe, ballet walks, ballet runs, chasse, skips, hops, and leaps. We will practice balance, flexibility, and coordination skills. Most of all we will have FUN!
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Please create a space that is open and large enough for your dancer to move, dance, jump and glide without bumping into things. Learners should wear comfortable clothing that they can easily move in. Ballet or Princess attire is encourage, but not required. Learners should either wear ballet shoes or have bare feet. Please no socks, as dancers can easily slip while wearing them. Dancers may have a water bottle nearby, and take a sip when needed. Please help your learner know how to mute and unmute themselves. There could be times during the class when this skill is needed.
