Description

Class Experience

Each class will start with either introductions or a review of what was covered in previous days. Learners will create artwork inspired by royalty: princesses, castles, and tiaras or crowns. Not only will we make artwork of princesses, but we will also introduced to drawing, painting, collage techniques, and other important art concepts. Students will continue to develop skills in artistic expression and artistic decision making.
Students will be introduced to drawing, painting, collage techniques.

The two things I love most in life is art and teaching! I have a degree in art education and have lots of experience working with young students. I think that basic understanding of art techniques and theories are important things that students should learn to not only further their art skills but also to see the beauty in the world around them!

Day 1: Princess, drawing
White paper, pencil, black permanent marker (if available), drawing supplies (markers, crayons, or colored pencils)

Day 2: Castle, painting
White paper, pencil, watercolor paint, painting supplies (paint brush, cup of water, paper towels, etc.)

Day 3: Tiara or Crown, paper collage
White paper, colored paper, scissors, glue

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

1 hour 45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.

If students are not comfortable using scissors, adult assistance will be needed.
