Class Experience

Learn about Life, Physical, or Earth Science in a private, one-on-one tutoring session customized to your personal needs. Life Sciences include Biology, Cell Biology, Microbiology, Zoology, Botany, and Ecology. Physical Sciences include Chemistry, Physics, and Engineering. Earth Sciences include Geology, Astronomy, Meteorology, and Oceanography.

Schedule a private tutoring session for your primary, middle, or high school student. I will design a class just for your student.

Every session is customized to your needs. I teach classes with many interactive elements - discussions, models, drawings, animations, and videos. Students need to be able to interact with me during the sessions in order to get the most out of the tutoring.

Tutoring is offered in a one-time session lasting 30 minutes per session. Additional sessions can be scheduled to accommodate the student's needs or to cover another topic. Ongoing tutoring sessions are also available.

If you do not see a day/date/time that fits your schedule, please send a schedule request. I will do my best to meet your needs.

Once you have scheduled your tutoring session, I will ask you for the following information:

- Grade
- Purpose of the session (homework help, project help, test preparation, etc.)
- Science Subject (Biology, Anatomy, Chemistry, etc.)
- Specifics including topic if known (i.e. Life Cycles, Respiratory System, Krebs Cycle, etc.)
- Learning details - Please provide any details about your student (Learning styles, strengths, etc.)

Please submit the information above at least 48 hours prior to your tutoring session so a detailed plan can be made to optimize your tutoring time.

Note: Our first session will be a "Get-to-Know-You" session unless this is a one-time homework help session (see below). I will use this time to get to know your student, their needs, and especially their interests. I will use this information going forward to tailor future tutoring sessions to your student.

I am an experienced science teacher. I can provide tutoring for all grades and ages at a grade-appropriate level in a friendly, accommodating environment. Tutoring can help with understanding the subject, furthering knowledge, test preparation, problem areas, science fair projects, or just for fun.
