In this class: We will explore the artwork of Vincent Van Gogh, Paul Cezanne, Pablo Picasso, Georgia O'Keefe, and Vasily Kandinsky and the art movements they inspired. We will learn about art basics including color, lines, subject matter, and techniques. We will look at art by the masters and discuss what they mean to us. Then we will create a work of art inspired by the art of the masters in this 5-day art class. Day 1: We will study Vincent Van Gogh and create an artwork inspired by Van Gogh's "Starry Night" Day 2: We will study Georgia O'Keeffe and create an artwork inspired by O'Keeffe's "Red Canna" Day 3: We will study Pablo Picasso and create an artwork inspired by Picasso's "Mujer con sombrero y cuello de piel" Day 4: We will study Paul Cezanne and create an artwork inspired by Cezanne's "Still Life with a Curtain" Day 5: We will study Wassily Kandinsky and create an artwork inspired by Kandinsky's "Composition 8" If you would like another day or time for this class, please contact me. I encourage children to participate fully in my classes. All of the art projects are designed for the student's age. They should be able to complete the projects themselves.
