Come and join our Dinosaur Fun! We will find out what the T Rex ate, how they lived, and what earth was like when the Dinosaurs were alive. We will explore the Mesozoic Era and how Dinosaurs came to rule the Earth. We will discover what fossils are and how they teach us about Dinosaurs. We will watch a short movie about the T Rex and see an actual T Rex fossil from Utah. We will make an easy craft project - Build Your Own Dinosaur! using common household items. I encourage children to participate in the class fully. I keep my classes small so everyone can answer questions and ask questions. NOTE: Younger students may need some assistance. We will be using scissors for the project. We will be making a T Rex during this class. You will need the following supplies for your T Rex: 1 Empty Toilet Paper Roll T Rex Template Safety Scissors White Glue Tape Markers
Learning Goals
Students will learn about dinosaurs, how they are classified, what they ate, how they lived. They will learn about the Mesozoic Era, the climate, and Earth during this Era.

Parental Guidance
I encourage parents and adults to allow their children to fully participate in the class on their own as much as they can. Some children will need help with their craft project. We will be using scissors during the craft project. A parent should be nearby to assist if needed.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Bachelor's Degree in Sociology from Minors: Biology, Chemistry, and Writing
Annette the Teacher has been teaching for a very long time. She has over three decades of experience teaching children of all ages. She has a B.A. in Sociology with minors in Biology, Chemistry, and Writing from the University of Pittsburgh. She has homeschooled her own children from Pre-School through (their current) High School. All of her classes are interactive. Annette encourages students to fully participate in class. All of her classes feature hands-on activities and books Annette writes for the class herself.
Annette is a published writer, publisher, and artist. She uses her extensive knowledge and experience to create unique classes for every student. She enjoys teaching science, history, art, and cooking classes. She brings history alive with her "Life in ..." history classes where students learn about key times in history by experiencing children and families' lives in that time period. "Paint like ..." art classes where students will learn about famous artists and create their own artwork based on the artists' works. "Smart Science" classes where we explore science and complete experiments and projects. Kid Cuisine classes are cooking classes for Young Chefs based on historic foods and science topics. Students should be prepared to make, explore, and create during class. Annette knows hands-on, interactive experiences are the best way for children to learn.
Annette also has experience working with Special Needs children. She is Mom to a child on the autism spectrum and a child with serious medical needs. She also has worked with children with ADHD. If your child has special needs, please contact Annette so she can work with you and your child.
