Class Experience
In this class students will learn more about human geography, a branch of geography. We will discuss how human activity affects the earth, how people live and interact with one another, and influences. Aspects of human geography can include: population, health, social, cultural, transportation, and economics. The two main features of human geography are the terrain and human societies. Students will learn how people affect the world around them. Students will learn more about population. Students will learn about cultural habits. Students will learn and review geography terminology. Students will engage in discussions, projects, and practice social skills.
I am a certified teacher for grades Kindergarten- 12th grade. I hold teaching certifications in both Kentucky and Florida for elementary education which includes all subjects, including geography and history for elementary. I have a Bachelors in education. I have a Masters in education. I have two additional Masters degrees. My subject areas of certification are: Elementary education k-6, all subjects Middle grades English 5-9 Physical education k-12 Special education k-12 all levels Reading K-12 Esol k-12 I have taught this subject area in elementary brick and mortar for over 3 years. I have also worked as a teacher in classrooms with migrant and refugee students from around the globe. At one of my schools, we had over 130 languages spoken! We engaged in weekend events for parents and students to share art work, music, and history from their countries and present dance, art, and music to other families each week.
Suggested materials will be sent to all enrolled learners 1-2 weeks prior to the start of class. Substitutions and alternative suggestions will be suggestion but virtual options will be made available to students as well.
Guardians will receive feedback after each class and a summary of what was discussed in class.
