This class is a One-to-One English class for non-native speakers. This class will include a discussion about pets. We will identify appropriate house pets including rabbit, hamster, bird, turtle, hedgehog, dog, cat, and fish. We will discuss the characteristics of each animal mentioned in the text. We will learn and practice the sight words you, like, would, and could. We will also conjugate and practice the verbs 'has' and 'have'. The student will receive assistance and reading support as needed.

Teacher expertise and credentials
I have over 20 years of experience within the field of education. I began my career teaching first grade. I then homeschooled my three children from elementary school thru high school. During those homeschooling years, I taught many classes at a homeschool cooperative. From art instruction to cooking, criminal justice to history, I have worked with children of all ages. I currently teach English as a Second Language to online students.
I believe that learning should be fun, and that students should take an active role in class. It is my goal to create a learning environment where students are encouraged to present their thoughts and ideas; where their input is seen as important; and they are valued for the individuals they are.
I am also an avid writer and cook.
