In this class, learners will be creating a color wheel with paint. I will be discussing what a color wheel is and what primary and secondary colors are. We will start buy drawing the color wheel and then use paint to fill it in. The learners will follow along as I also create a color wheel along side them, answering questions along the way. Learners will get to interact with me and others during this class, including a color guessing game. Learners do not need any prior experience for this...
Students will improve their understanding of art and colors.
My experience in color theory is extensive having attended art school and being a freelance artist for many years.
White paper, preferably thick construction or multimedia paper so paint doesn't soak through. The following paint colors, Red, Blue, Yellow. I recommend Crayola but anything will work. No water color paint. Paint brush Cup of water to clean brush Paper Towel to dry brush Pencil
Progress will be assessed by learners correctly creating the color wheel and the colors on it.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
