Through the help of story-telling and imagery, students will learn the fundamentals of ballet, ballet terminology and technique, and develop their motor skills in a fun setting. This ballet class is for children who are ready to move on to a more traditional ballet class but still enjoy and can benefit from imagery, songs, and games. This class consist of a stretch and warmup, center and across the floor exercises, and ballet dances. Each class ends with a game, activity, or ballet story. Our class themes typically change monthly (ex: Princess Party, Under the Sea, Enchanted Fairy Garden). In this class, children will follow along with me as I show them and explain to them ballet steps, combinations of steps, and dances. Previous dance experience is not required. Please make sure your child has water nearby and enough space to dance. No additional materials will be needed.
