What's included
1 live meeting
40 mins in-class hours per weekClass Experience
In this class, students will have the fun opportunity to learn about different presidents from United States history through creating art! Each week we will study a new president and create a new art project that relates to that particular president. The class will start with a powerpoint/slides with fun facts about the President which will include: Name of the President, where and when they were born, accomplishments/what they were known for, and fun facts. Students will have an optional worksheet they can fill out during the first part of class as a keepsake so they can remember what they learn. Then we will dive into our art project! Each month will be a different art medium (colored pencils, chalk pastels, acrylics, watercolors) to keep it fun and learn different art techniques. Our art projects may be a scenic painting of where that president is from, a symbol/object of one of the president's favorite things or a combination. I will guide students with what we are drawing step by step and then we will add color whether it is with chalk pastels, watercolors or acrylics (depends on the month). Students are welcome (and encouraged) to make their art unique and their own. Students will be encouraged through out class to share any fun facts they know about the president we are learning about and their favorite facts they learn during class. We will share our art at the end of class with each other (always optional for students). I love seeing my students beautiful artwork! Schedule: Final class will be 8/26
