Description
Class Experience
This class is taught in English.
This course will explore the events leading up to November 22, 1963, the assassination of President Kennedy, the manhunt, and the effects on American Society.
I have taught U.S. History to high school and college students. This course aims at a younger age group, and the book is a youth version of book that has an adult companion.
Students are encouraged but certainly not required to check out from a library or purchase and read "The President Has Been Shot!" It is an easy and enjoyable read, and this class uses the book as an outline. Swanson, James L. President Has Been Shot!: The Assassination of John F. Kennedy. Scholastic (Us), 2016.

We will do a Kahoot quiz at the end of the class to work on retaining what we have learned.
55 minutes per week in class, and no time outside of class.
These events are disturbing, but no explicit video of the shooting will be viewed during the course. Students will learn of the Zapruder video that was recorded during the shooting, however, and they may become curious to view it on their own on Youtube.
