Description
Class Experience
Students will learn the outline of a speech. -Intro -Body broken into three topics -Transitions between topics -Conclusion Learns will how to calm ones nerves while speaking. They will also work on breathing exercises and visualization skills.
I am a public speaker and President of Toastmasters in my area. Public speaking is very enjoyable and I really enjoy teaching others to speak well in public. I compete in public speaking and always enjoy adding some funny into my speeches. No experience necessary the newer the better. My class will be able to help the learner improve ones public speaking skills or to help social anxiety situations.
I highly encourage the learner to re watch the video of the class to practice once or twice a week if possible. The more practice the learner has they will advance faster in the class. I am all about teaching the learners proper skills to speak of the cuff. The more proper practice one has the better they will achieve the skills at hand.
1 file available upon enrollmentLearns should have a note book and a pen. Water bottle to take a drink when needed.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Positive oral feedback will be given after each speech. Homework is given for both classes.
1 hour 50 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Parental guidance is good to make sure the learner is focusing on the class and not talking out of turn. Mics will be muted but each learner will be able to talk in class when it is their turn to speak.
