US Grade Preschool - Kindergarten
Beginner Level
In this class, we will practice letter recognition and writing. We will discuss things that start with the letter of the day and use objects to naming things that start with that letter. We will practice spelling one word for each letter. Each class we will review the letter we worked on last class before starting our new letter. Week 1: Day 1- A is for Apple, today we will learn how to write the letter A. We will discuss things that start with the letter A and practice spelling "apple". Day 2- B is for Banana, today we will review the letter A and learn how to write the letter B. We will discuss things that start with the letter B and practice spelling "banana". Week 2: Day 1- C is for Carrot, today we will review how to write the letters A & B. Then we will learn how to write the letter C. We will discuss things that start with the letter C and practice spelling the word Carrot. Day 2- D is for Duck, today we will review how to write the letters A-C before learning how to write the letter D. We will discuss things that start with the letter D and practice spelling "duck". Week 3: Day 1- E is for Elephant, today we will review how to write the letters A-D then learn how to write the letter E. We will discuss things that start with the letter e and practice spelling "Elephant". Day 2- F is for Fox, today we will review how to write the letters A-E before learning how to write the letter F. We will discuss things that start with the letter F and practice spelling "Fox". Week 4: Day 1- G is for Goat, today we will review how to write the letters A-F before learning how to write the letter G. We will discuss things that start with the letter G and practice spelling "Goat". Day2- H is for Hat, today we will review how to write the letters A-G before learning how to write the letter H. We will discuss things that start with the letter H and practice spelling "Hat". Week 5: Day 1- I is for Ice, today we will learn how to write the letter I after reviewing the letters A-H. We will discuss things that start with the letter I and practice spelling the word "ice". Day 2- J is for Jog, today we will learn how to write the letter J and review how to write the letters A-J. We will practice spelling the word Jog and discuss things that start with the letter J. Week 6: Day 1- K is for Kite, today we will learn how to write the letter K and review how to write A-J. We will discuss things that start with the letter K and practice spelling "Kite". Day 2- L is for Lion, today we will learn how to write the letter L and review the letters A-K. We will discuss things that start with the letter L and practice spelling "Lion" Week 7: Day1- M is for Mom, today we will learn how to write the letter M and practice spelling "Mom". We will review how to write the letters A-L and discuss things that start with the letter M. Day 2- N is for Nest, today we will discuss things that start with N and learn how to write the letter N. We will review the letters A-M and practice spelling "nest". Week 8: Day 1- O is for Octopus, today we will learn how to write the letter O. We will discuss things that start with O and draw an Octopus. We will also review letters A-N. Day 2- P is for Paint, today we will discuss things that start with the letter P. We will paint a P and review the letters A-O. Week 9: Day 1- Q is for Queen, today we will learn how to write the letter Q. We will discuss things that start with the letter Q and practice spelling the word, Queen. We will also review how to write the letters A-P. Day 2- R is for Ring, today we will learn how to write the letter R. We will review the letters A-Q and discuss things that start with R. Week 10: Day 1- S is for Stop, today we will learn how to write the letter S and make a stop sign. We will review letters A-R and discuss things that start with the letter S. Day 2- T is for Tiger, today we will discuss things that start with the letter T and learn how to write the letter T. We will review the letters A-S. Week 11: Day 1- U is for Up, today we will practice spelling the word, up and learn how to write the letter u. We will discuss things that start with the letter U and review how to write the letters A-T. Day 2- V is for Vase, today we will learn how to write the letter V. We will practice spelling "vase" and discuss words that start with V. We will also review the letter A-U. Week 12: Day 1- W is for Wagon, today we will practice spelling the word, Wagon and learn how to write the letter W. We will discuss things that start with the letter W and review the letters A- V. Day 2- X is for Xylophone, today we will color a picture of a xylophone and learn how to write the letter X. We will reviews the letters A-W. Week 13: Day 1- Y is for Yak, today we will learn how to write the letter Y and practice spelling the word "yak". We will discuss things that start with Y and review the letters A-X. Day 2- Z is for Zoo, today we will learn how to write the letter Z and practice spelling the word Zoo. We will discuss things that start with the letter Z and review All of the letters.
Learning Goals
The goal of this class is for each learner to be comfortable writing all of the letters of the alphabet and naming things that start with each letter.

Supply List
Learners will need a pencil or pen, colored pencils, and lined paper for all classes. Some classes have coloring pages or worksheets that I will provide.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Teacher expertise and credentials
I have implemented lessons as a substitute teacher and studied Early Childhood Education for over 4 years. I'm only not a certified teacher because I never completed my student teaching. I have a degree in education which would've certified me for preschool to 3rd grade.
