📋CLASS SCHEDULE:

1. 🗓CALENDAR TIME- Every class
Includes: Months of the year, days of the week, holidays, patterns, weather, letters, shape, color and number focus
            and so much more!
*We discuss what the weather is like where I live and where they live. We sometimes even dress bear together for
            the weather!
             * 🔤🔺️🎨🔢 Each week with have a different letter, shape, color and number focus. We talk about each and
sometimes go on a scavenger hunt for the items during calendar time.

(Each of these areas provides a set routine for the students and once they are in class for a short period, they will begin to get the hang of it! This provides stability and children thrive in routines, just like adults do!)

2. ACTIVITY TIME-
Day 1- LETTER ACTIVITY OR NUMBER ACTIVITY/ PHONICS BOOK INTRODUCTION
Day 2- NUMBER, SHAPE, OR COLOR ACTIVITY/ PRACTICE PHONICS BOOK
Day 3- SCIENCE OR SNACK TIME/ SHARE TIME
* ACTIVITIES WILL ROTATE SO THAT STUDENTS GET TO EXPERIENCE ALL THE CURRICULUM CONCEPTS! THEY WILL STILL GET INTRODUCED TO ALL CONCEPTS DURING CALENDAR TIME AS WELL!

*If it is science week, the students will be provided with a list of supplies in order to do the experiment along side me if they'd like. (THIS IS OPTIONAL!)
* On snack days, we prepare a snack together learning how to follow step by step directions. *Students do not have to prepare the snack, they can just watch if they would like. Please make any substitutions to the recipe (provided in the supplies) when necessary.
* If it is share time week, students can bring an object to share and they will practice speaking and listening skills. We will even work on asking appropriate questions! (OBJECTS RELATED TO THE THEME ARE ENCOURAGED!)

***MOST DAYS WE ALSO USE A PHONICS BOOK. THIS CONTAINS SIGHT WORDS AND FOCUSES ON THE LETTER OF THE WEEK AND THE THEME THAT WEEK. WE LEARN HOW TO MAKE PREDICTIONS, READ FROM LEFT TO RIGHT, FIND SIGHT WORDS AND ANSWER COMPREHENSION QUESTIONS. THESE BOOKS ARE CREATED BY THE TEACHER.

***Each of these activities enhance the children's learning of the letter, number, shape, and color of the week. These activities include art, gross motor, fine motor, music, reading, and STEM activities.
