45 mins in-class hours per weekClass Experience
Learners will be introduced to the world of yoga and learn the main poses in Vinyasa style yoga. This class is very interactive with students always being encouraged to ask questions. This class is movement centered to maintain interest and all poses have kid-friendly names associated with them (usually to do with animals, letters or numbers) to allow students to more easily recall poses they have learned. Class will begin with a warm up yoga flow to the tune of "Dance for the Sun", a song created by a former teacher that introduces the sun salutation to young students in a fun and memorable way. Our warm-up flow will be followed by a series of standing, sitting and balancing poses. Class will close in Savasana, where students will be encouraged to bring out their favorite stuffy or toy as I take them through a mindfulness session before finishing class. Learners are encouraged to ask questions and share their experiences, however no prior knowledge of yoga is needed to join this class. The direction of each class will be student led based on receptiveness. My virtual classroom provides a place where students can feel safe and free to be themselves. I look forward to meeting you and your learner and hope you will join me for a yoga class soon!
