US Grade Preschool
Beginner - Intermediate Level
This ongoing alphabet class will be perfect for young learners with a short attention span. In each fun and interactive letter lesson the students will be introduced to and learn to identify the upper and lower case letters of the alphabet. Each class will feature one letter at a time. They will practice the pre-writing motor skills, and letter formation related to the letters and practice writing them. They will learn the sounds of the letters and how they are used in simple words and sentences. They will listen to a song for each letter. They will also be able to identify objects that begin with each of the letters. Students are encouraged to bring an item to share with the class each day that starts with the letter of the day. In each class the students will have ample opportunity to interact with their classmates and forge friendships as they learn and play together in group activities each week. The class will be held three times a week in an ongoing class format featuring a new letter each class. This class will go through each letter of the alphabet (not in order) and then repeat so you can join any time. Week of Aug. 21st ~ Letters S, A, T Week of Aug. 28th ~ Letters I, P, N Week of Sept. 4th ~ Letters C, K, E Week of Sept. 11th ~ Letters D, G, O *Families, please be mindful of background noises and conversations, as other families can hear everything and it can be very distracting to the learners. In the case of background noise or conversations next to the learner coming across the microphone I may need to mute at times. Please feel free to unmute once the noise or conversation has ended.
Learning Goals
Students will be able to identify the letters and sounds of the featured letters of the alphabet. They will have opportunity to practice the motor skills involved in tracing and writing the letters.
