What will be taught? This preschool class fosters creativity, curiosity, and social interaction while helping children develop foundational skills. Each session incorporates music, crafts, or simple science experiments, encouraging hands-on learning and exploration. What topics will you cover? The class covers a variety of seasonal, holiday, and event-based themes. Topics include: * Seasonal changes (e.g. fall leaves, spring flowers, summer fun); * Holiday traditions and stories (e.g. Valentine’s Day); * Basic science concepts through experiments (e.g. mixing colors, exploring textures); * Creative arts and crafts to build fine motor skills and self-expression; * Social skills such as turn-taking, sharing, and collaboration; How is your class structured? Each 25-minute class follows a consistent format: * Welcome and Greetings: A cheerful 'hello' song, to set the tone and introduce the theme. * Interactive Activity: Themed games (letter of the week, number of the week, days of the week, months of the year), craft, or science experiment to encourage hands-on learning. * Discussion and Sharing: Children share their creations or discuss their observations. * Closing How will you teach? I use a warm, engaging teaching style that emphasizes interaction and creativity. Sessions are designed to be dynamic, with a mix of structured activities and opportunities for free expression. What's your teaching style? My teaching style is inclusive, nurturing, and child-centered. I focus on creating a positive environment where every child feels comfortable participating. Activities are hands-on and designed to be fun and educational. How much will learners get to interact with you? Learners will have plenty of opportunities for interaction, including: * Answering questions during discussions; * Sharing their work and ideas; * Participating in group activities like songs, games, and collaborative projects; * The class is designed to ensure every child has a chance to actively engage and connect with their peers and me; This class provides an excellent introduction to group learning, helping children build confidence and develop social and creative skills in a supportive online environment.

With over 20 years of teaching experience and specialized qualifications, including a Graduate Diploma in Early Childhood Education, a Graduate Diploma in Institutional Psychopedagogy, and an ACE TESOL Certificate, I bring a wealth of expertise to this class. I hold a Master’s in the History of Science and Technology, and have also taken several classes toward my Master’s in Psychology: Human Development and Teaching-Learning. These academic backgrounds deepen my understanding of child development and learning processes, which I apply to foster a positive and engaging learning environment.
Each week, I introduce a new writing prompt to spark imagination and enhance storytelling skills, creating an engaging and fun experience for every student. My background in education and psychology allows me to tailor lessons to the unique needs of each child, fostering an environment where all learners feel supported, encouraged, and confident in their writing.
I am committed to fostering diversity and inclusion, ensuring that every child—whether they are learning to write or exploring new ways to express themselves—feels welcome and valued. I strive to create a safe and inclusive space where students can freely express their ideas, develop their writing abilities, and experience the joy of storytelling. Additionally, my extensive experience teaching online enables me to create a dynamic and interactive virtual classroom where every child can thrive.
