Class Experience
In this one week camp, we will learn preschool skills through games, story telling, music and movement, science experiments, and show and tell. I believe that to create a love for life time learning, children need to experience early education in a fun engaging way. Students will learn and review colors, shapes, the alphabet, and numbers. Students will be introduced to math and literacy concepts needed to be successful in preschool and kindergarten. The students will learn science concepts through thematic activities and science experiments. Students will have an opportunity to practice social skills such as following directions, turn taking, and speaking on topic.
I have a Bachelor of Science in Early Education. I was a preschool teacher for 10 years before staying home with my own children. I have 2.5 years experience online teaching.
I will send information about any supplies the Friday before the camp week. Tentatively the supplies are: Day 1- Bring an item for show and tell that reminds you of the ocean Day 2- Print the octopus page in color , print the goldfish graph and bring gold fish crackers Day 3- We will need clear cups, water, salt, sugar, spoon, and an egg.
1 hour 15 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Children will be engaged with the teacher but parents may need to help with "muting" and "unmuting".
