Preschool Summer Camp - Bugs Bugs Bugs!

Class
Kim Young BS. in Early Education
Average rating:5.0Number of reviews:(213)
In this one week camp, we will practice preschool skills using games, music, experiments and hands on activities keeping us ready for the next school year!

Class experience

Students will learn and review colors, shapes, the alphabet, and numbers. Students will be introduced to math and literacy concepts needed to be successful in preschool and kindergarten. The students will learn science concepts through thematic activities and science experiments. Students will have an opportunity to practice social skills such as following directions, turn taking, and speaking on topic.
I have a Bachelor of Science in Early Education. I was a preschool teacher for 10 years before staying home with my own children. I have 2.5 years experience online teaching.
I will send information about any supplies the Friday before the camp week.
Tentatively the supplies are:
Day 1- Bring any bug or creepy crawler item for show and tell or tell us what is your favorite bug. Print the bumble bee rhyming game and cut apart. Create a "pollen" tray by pouring sand into a shallow tray that your child can use their fingers to write letters in.
Day 2- Your child will need pipe cleaners and beads to create pattern worms and play the preposition game. Please print the gummy worm graph and bring markers and gummy worms to class.
Day 3- We will need a balloon, a marker, a bottle, water, baking soda and vinegar for our science experiment.
Children will be engaged with the teacher but parents may need to help with "muting" and "unmuting".
