During this one-time preschool story time class that integrates Math and English, Learners will listen to a read-aloud of two truck books from the same series and do a train color by number. After our Welcome and Hello songs, we will have our double feature series spotlight story time, where we will read two stories from the same series, Stone Archer Readers: “Snow Buddies” and “Truck Buddies” both by Melinda Melton Crow and go on two different adventures with Green Truck, Dump Truck and Blue Truck. Learners will then complete a truck color by number. Transportation songs will be sung before we close with the Goodbye Song.

I am passionate about early childhood literacy and literacy has always been an integral part of my classroom. I have seven years teaching experience with preschool-aged children. I hold a Professional Educators license with endorsements in Early Childhood and Elementary Education and a concentration in Reading and Language Arts. I will be doing focused story times often integrating reading with math, science, and social studies. I will also be doing “double features” which feature two books that are the same in some way: topic, author, or series. My favorite is reading a fiction and non-fiction book on the same topic. This is a fun way to introduce young readers to non-fiction. My classes are interactive with songs and games. I enjoy traveling and going to museums and plays. Reviews
