Class Experience
Hi! This class will teach first American Sign Language signs to preschoolers. (Week of August 7th)- Introductions. We will practice how to sign the first letters in our names. We will sign along to the ASL ABCs, Days of the Week, Weather song and learn how to count to 10 in sign language and the number of the day.The signing theme is C is for Colors! Young learners will learn how to start to use sign language for emerging language to communcate wants and needs with signs. Learners will learn ABCs , Numbers, Days of the Week, Weather and signs that go along with the theme.
I have been studying American Sign Language for 10 years. I attended a post graduate 4 year Interpreter Training program and earned my certificate for ASL interpreting. I have 3 years experience as an educational interpreter. I instructed a signing activity at an early childcare learning center for a year.
