Preschool Prep: Letters and Sounds of the Alphabet (Introduction and Review)
What's included
1 live meeting
30 mins in-class hoursClass Experience
In this fun and educational one-time class, students will have the opportunity to be introduce to and improve their knowledge of the letters of the alphabet and the sounds that each letter makes. Students will be able to visually see each letter on an engaging PowerPoint slide that is shared to their screens. I fully believe that children learn best when they are actively involved. That being said, each student will be actively participating and contributing throughout the class with fun songs, rhymes, and activities, in order to maximize the learning experience. My goal is to keep all learners unmuted in order to promote class discussions and participation. It will also allow us to work on social skills such as active listening and taking turns. In order to achieve this goal, students need to be in a quiet environment away from loud noises (loud conversations, t.v., etc.). Basic knowledge of the alphabet is encouraged, but not necessary. If you would prefer more in-depth lessons on the alphabet, please feel free to look into my Alphabet Academy!
Learning Goals
Students will have the opportunity to be introduced to and improve their knowledge of the letters of the alphabet and the sounds that each letter makes. By actively engaging throughout the class, students will also improve their public speaking and communication skills.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello Friends!
Due to new career opportunities, I am taking some time away from Outschool. I hope to be back soon! :)
My name is Ms. Claire. I have been working in Early Childhood Education for nine years. I began my career working at the Child Development Center on a military base in Germany. I have also worked as a preschool teacher at a private preschool. I received my Child Development Associates through the Child Development National Credentialing Program. I am a Registered Behavior Technician and I am currently working on my psychology degree. I love teaching Preschool and Pre-K basics such as letters and sounds of the alphabet, counting, days of the week, and MORE! I also love teaching young children how to be confident in who they are, what they enjoy, and what they believe in. I was previously a foster parent and I am currently a mom of two girls, 5 years and 11 months! I am a firm believer in allowing children to have fun while they learn. I also love to incorporate gross motor movements into all of my classes to keep students engaged and active.
I hope to see you in my class!
