This class is perfect for any preschool, pre-k, beginning kindergarten or kindergarten learner who is ready to learn or review letters and their correct sounds, phonics/phonemic awareness, letter blends, syllables, sight words, pre-reading, number sense, foundational math, simple addition/subtraction, calendar, weather science, social skills and and so much more! We will have amazing weekly themes and tons of fun while we learn SO much in this bonus packed class!

🍎This smaller class size (5 max) is perfect for interaction and attention compared to a large class and is the perfect supplement for homeschool students, those who might need extra practice or anyone who loves learning! Your learner is welcome regardless of where they are in their learning journey.   

💛 This is an ongoing class, so the time slot you sign up for is yours for as long as you would like. You can join this class at any time!

I am a patient, caring, dependable and experienced teacher who encourages students and helps them succeed in reaching their goals with confidence. I have over 25 years of teaching and tutoring experience. I have also been a homeschool mom and co-op teacher. I absolutely LOVE teaching. My goal is to make learning FUN!

🍎 I create fun, personalized coloring pages and provide optional, high quality bonus materials for extra practice outside of class. If you ever want extra worksheets, please feel free to ask. I am happy to send them.

🍎 I use props and face to face interaction more than sharing slides, videos, etc. for more engaging, social, hands-on learning.

🍎 Optional homework for extra practice at home is available.

🍎 This class offers:

- Kindergarten readiness skills, including letters and their sounds, ABCs / alphabet, phonics, numbers, colors, shapes/attributes, days of the week, calendar, weather and exciting weekly themes (astronauts, farm animals, dinosaurs, insects, hamsters, apples, unicorns, weather, sloths, sharks, bears, polar animals, forest friends and many more)!

- Repetition, routine and review: Consistency, organization and structure will create a successful learning experience and welcoming atmosphere that students look forward to.

- Building communication, comprehension, creativity and social skills, show and tell, story time, games and songs, wiggle breaks, themed worksheets, simple crafts and more.

- Occasional (optional) bonus worksheets for review and fun outside of class.

- Lots of learning and fun!

This kindergarten readiness class will include foundational skills and:
• Phonics: Letter sounds, formation and identification, sight words, writing practice and more
• Math concepts: Patterns, sorting, matching, same/different, less/more, opposites, coins, comparisons, colors and shapes, basic math skills and more
• Social skills: Interaction and activities such as show & tell, games and more 
 
Our class routine goes something like this: 
- Greetings 
- Weather (how do we dress for certain types of weather, weather facts, cloud types, etc.) 
- Calendar time with songs and movement (days of the week, seasons, etc.) 
- Theme of the week (ex. astronauts, farm animals, dinosaurs, unicorns, weather, sloths, sharks and more!)
- Phonics & Literacy / Numbers & Math (alternating days)
- Color and shape of the day
- Review 
- Show & Tell (Every Thursday) 
- Storytime (if time allows) and good-byes
- More fun and adventures along the way
