In this ongoing course, we will learn preschool skills through games, story telling, music and movement, science experiments, and show and tell. I believe that to create a love for life time learning, children need to experience early education in a fun engaging way. Students will learn and review colors, shapes, the alphabet, and numbers. Students will be introduced to math and literacy concepts needed to be successful in preschool and kindergarten. The students will learn science concepts through thematic activities and science experiments. Students will have an opportunity to practice social skills such as following directions, turn taking, and speaking on topic.
I have a Bachelor of Science in Early Education. I was a preschool teacher for 10 years before staying home with my own children. I have 4.5 years experience online teaching.
I will send information about any supplies before the school week. Children should bring a show and tell each week related to the theme.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Children will be engaged with the teacher but parents may need to help with "muting" and "unmuting".
