Every day we will have fun learning ELA, Math, Science, Art and more! We will learn to: read/write small words/sentences, compare/contrast, do puzzles, add/subtract, count/skip count, read calendars, explore weather/our senses/animals (including metamorphosis w/ real butterflies) and do unique weekly crafts..... all through personal instruction, songs, reading, slides & props.

In this 19 week Preschool (Pre-K) semester class we will have fun learning in a variety of ways over several subject matters including English, Math, Science, Music and Art. Learning will be enjoyable as we read and write short words and sentences, engage rhyming and digraphs (2 letter blends), count to 20, sort and match, do simple addition and subtraction, skip count, compare and contrast, make puzzles, explore the 5 senses, learn about weather (sunny, cloudy, rain, snow), the calendar (days of the week, months of the year, dates), farm animals (names and sounds), metamorphosis with real butterflies, space and emotions plus an engaging, fun weekly craft. Instruction is done through a variety of mediums including live story time, lively songs (movement and dancing encouraged), educational manipulatives, creative props, colorful slides and lots of class interaction and discussion (share time, show and tell, singing, counting, finding objects around the house, vocal repetition, questions and answers and more). The teaching is personal, fun and interactive which helps students engage and enjoy learning which encourages retention. A review and question and answer time plus on Fridays my Louisiana signature of instruction, "Lagniappe" (something extra) wraps things up! The monthly itinerary is below which shows all of the subjects that will be covered during the semester.

Parental Guidance
Parental guidance when learner is using scissors.
Supply List
I will upload handouts needed for class onto the classroom page for parents to print if desired. These handouts will be helpful but are not required. Also, supplies typically used for preschool will be needed. These supplies include: pencils, markers, crayons, white paper, construction paper, glue stick, watercolor paint and brush, playdough.
