Preschool Powwow Curriculum 3X a Week

Class schedule/ lesson plan:
Week 1 September 15-September 17: Learning about the letter S, the number 5, the color read, the theme study is all about me, sight word see
Week 2 September 22-September 24: Learning about the letter D, the number 3, the color yellow, the theme study is all about me, sight word by
Week 3 September 29- October 1: Learning about the letter A, the number 7, the color green, the theme study is the five senses, sight word can
Week 4 October 6-October 8: Learning about the letter T, the number 10, the color blue, the theme study is the five senses, sight word is
Week 5 October 13-October 15: Learning about the letter P, the number 6, the color purple, the theme study is community helpers, sight word  am
Week 6 October 20-October 22: Learning about the letter B, the number 8, the color brown, the theme study is community helpers, sight word a and reviewing  letters S, D, A, T, B, and P. Reviewing numbers and colors from weeks 1-6.  Assessing learners in the form of games and informal trivia.
Week 7 October 27-October 29:   Learning about the letter O, the number 1, the color orange, the theme study is Fall, sight word are, rhyming with -at ending 
Week 8 November 3-November 5: Learning about the letter H, the number 9, the color white, the theme study is Fall, sight word I, rhyming with -op ending
Week 9 November 10-November 12: - Learning about the letter K, the number 4, the color pink, the theme study is Farm, sight word like, rhyming with -et ending
Week 10 November 17-November 19: Learning about the letter M, the number 2, the color gray, the theme study is Farm, sight word the, rhyming with -en ending
Week 11  December 1- December 3: Learning about the letter R, the number 11, the color peach, the theme study is Winter, sight word it, rhyming with -ig ending
No class the week of  November 23-November 27 for Thanksgiving
Week 12  December 8- December 10: Learning about the letter N, the number 15, the color Black, the theme study is Winter, sight word like, rhyming with -ut ending and reviewing  letters S, D, A, T, B, and P. Reviewing numbers, sight words, and colors from weeks 7-12. Rhyming poem group project.  Assessing learners in the form of games and informal trivia.

Homework assignments will be distributed through google classroom. After class parents will receive storytime, science, and fine motor videos. Books read during storytime will discussed the next day during class.  Students may be asked to draw a picture about the story to show and tell.  Learners are not required to do the science experiments, but the fine motor activities are strongly encouraged.   Learners will receive letter practice and handwriting worksheets. Assignments will also include digital task cards through Boom Learning that will review letters, counting, patterns, shapes, and opposites.

Learners will have an informal virtual game assessment in class in the middle and the end of the semester.

2 hours 15 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
