Description
Class Experience
Learning through play is most effective, especially with little ones. In this class, we will learn through poems, finger play, songs, activity time, crafts, sharing time, show-and-tell, and much more. Every other week, we will learn some Spanish words. Our classes will be structured as follows: --Begin the class with a greeting (everyone will introduce themselves as we learn each other's names) --Practice "sitting" and "listening" manners --Listen to the teacher recite a poem as we learn to...
This class is taught in English.
I will create a fun, relaxed atmosphere where preschoolers can gather and learn together while sharing about the things that they are particularly interested in. We will have a time of sharing or show-and-tell so the learners can get to know one another and anticipate their next meeting time.
I have my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, and I have over 20 years' experience teaching preschool-age children. Whether it's being in front of a classroom or teaching online, I am happiest when I am teaching, and I bring excitement and fun into the classroom. I motivate my learners through positive encouragement, praise, visuals, physical activity, and fun interaction.
I will occasionally ask the learners to print a work sheet they can do outside the classroom. We will do most of our activities within the classroom.
I will give a previous list of items the learners can bring to class, such as crayons, paper, scissors, or other special items related to the class's topic.
Within the classroom, I will as questions as we go through the class, making sure the children are understanding the content for the day.
50 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
