US Grade Preschool - Kindergarten
PRESCHOOL Play, Learn and Grow! Class Goal My aim in every class is to create a positive, warm and engaging environment that caters to every child's level and need all while having a great time learning. Experience After obtaining my Masters Degree in Elementary Education in 2009, I taught 6th grade for five years followed by 3rd grade for another five years in a public school. During that time, I focused on tailoring my teaching to the individual needs of each student, ensuring that they received the support they needed to succeed. For the past three years, I have been teaching online, working with students of different ages across various platforms including Outschool. As a teacher and mother of kindergarten triplets I understand the importance of preschool skills and want your child to be prepared for the next step. Class Setting In my class, I will be using my own custom-made worksheets and purchase to ensure our time together is fun, engaging and purposefully for learning. Who Is This Class For? This class is designed for preschoolers, but can also be used as a review for Kindergarteners. ------------Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions regarding the class.------------ Class Schedule -Introducing and Welcoming No need to worry if your little one is shy! They will be warmly welcomed and made comfortable, and they can share their name if they want to. -Calendar Days of the week song Learning the month and day -Letter/Number/Shape/Color Each week, includes the introduction of a new number and letter, along with their sounds, and guidance on how to correctly write or trace them on paper. Also we will explore a new color and shape each week. -Theme Each month we will have a theme that we will explore more about. Below is the theme listed for each month. -Show and See Students are more than welcome to bring a show and see for the end of each class. Printable worksheet for class will be available to print the morning of the class. Worksheets are not required for the class but add to the learning experience. Hey there! I'm excited to share that I have a Master's Degree in Elementary Education and spent a wonderful 10 years teaching in a public school. I had the pleasure of teaching 6th grade for 5 years and then taught in a 3rd grade classroom for the last 5 years. In my classes, I used small groups and tailored instruction to meet the diverse needs of my students.
I'm really passionate about encouraging reading for fun and for learning. I truly believe that when students have a solid foundation in reading, learning becomes a whole lot easier. And you know what? Math has now become my new favorite subject to teach! I love coming up with different ways to help struggling learners and to challenge those who are stronger in math. I firmly believe that by making math and reading enjoyable, we can inspire a love for learning that lasts a lifetime.
