Preschool Phonics with Chicka Chicka Boom Boom!

Introduction (5 minutes)
We'll start class with a fun introduction question for each student. Next, I'll introduce the alphabet through song and determine each student's existing knowledge of the topic.

Teacher modeling (10 minutes)
Next, we'll dive into our lesson. We'll read the book 'Chicka Chicka Boom Boom' to begin. After that, we'll sing a fun song to learn the sounds of all the letters in the alphabet.

Guided Practice (10 minutes)
Next, we'll allow students to experience the lesson by pretending to be the letters in the book together! We'll climb up our pretend coconut trees and when we all fall down, we'll say the name of the letter we're pretending to be all together. After that, each child will have the chance to show us their colored letter page they completed before class and pretend to be their letter on their own! Then, we'll end class with our goodbye song.
