US Grade Preschool
This Preschool Circle Time class meets once a week and is designed for Preschoolers (3-5 year olds) to practice and develop early literacy and math skills. Through fun and engaging Winter themes learners will build their letter knowledge, phonics skills, vocabulary, and number sense. **Please see below for the class schedule that details the theme, letter, and skills we will be working on each week** Each class we will focus on a letter that relates to the Winter theme of the week. Learners will learn what the letter of the week looks like, the sound it makes, and words that begin with that letter. We will also practice writing the letter. Songs, rhymes, and games will be used throughout class to engage learners and solidify the skills we are practicing. Each week I will post supplemental activities that you can do with your child outside of class to continue the learning and the fun! These activities may include worksheets, crafts, or sensory play activities that relate to the letter, math skill, and/or Winter theme that we worked on in class. ======================= Muting During Class ======================= Please make sure that your learner knows how to mute/unmute themselves prior to class. I prefer to keep all learners unmuted to add an interactive element to class. However there may be times that learners may be muted during class to minimize background noise and facilitate direct instruction. ======================= Class Schedule ======================= **Week of December 5th** Theme: Cars, Planes, Trains (Travel) Letter: P Skill: Directional words (up/down/in front/behind) **Week of December 12th** Theme: Arctic Animals Letter: B Skill: Compare/contrast size **Week of December 19th** Theme: Gingerbread Letter: M Skill: one-to-one correspondence **Week of December 26th** ***NO CLASS*** **Week of January 2nd** ***NO CLASS*** **Week of January 9th** Theme: Happy New Year!
