Students will be introduced to identifying numbers 1-5 using Paw Patrol playing cards. We will begin class by counting to 5 several times as the teacher shows the visual number that corresponds to the number said aloud. The teacher will model how each number is drawn using a mnemonic device: 1. Go straight down and then you're done. That's the way you make a one. 2. Make a candy cane and then a shoe. That's the way to make a two. 3. Around a tree and around a tree. That's the way to make a three. 4. Down, across, and down some more. That's the way to make a four. 5. Short neck, belly fat. Mr, five wears a hat. We will practice this using our Paw Patrol voices. Then, the teacher will mix up the cards and challenge the children to say them out of order. Finally, students will play number bingo to practice identifying numbers.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello! Growing up in a home with parents as teachers taught me that learning is fun and that learning is for everyone. I was blessed to be part of a family that showed me learning happens all around me and that education can provide endless opportunities.
I graduated from Texas A&M University in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. I began my career teaching first, second, and fourth grades in public schools before tutoring and staying home with my children. I loved transitioning to the role of Preschool Director and teacher two days a week and devoting the rest of my time to raising my family.
I look forward to bringing my best lessons to life, showing parents how to integrate engaging activities into their learning at home, and having fun with students as we learn.
