Movin and Groovin - Let's Have a Halloween Party. Grab your favourite costume and join my Halloween Dance Party. We will listen to a story, sing and dance to Halloween songs. We will use our imaginations to dance like skeletons, count pumpkins and ghosts and stir a witches brew. We will tip toe and practice saying BOO! Each child will get an opportunity to tell about their costume. This class will encourage having fun and sharing our different personalities with our costume choices. ...
We will learn about each others's costumes and practice our listening skills. Come prepared to tell about your costume. We will also practice counting to 5. Based on the understanding that children learn best through play, the focus is on being involved and having fun. The kids don't even realize how much they are learning! Early music concepts involving tempo and rhythm will be taught as well as other important pre-school concepts such as turn taking, sharing, colours, simple counting and using their words. Children will see their own potential and growth in self-esteem, as well as in their appreciation of each other.
