Class Experience

Hello families!

*Please note, children who speak any language are very much welcome, however this class is not designed as an ESL class.*

Start your morning with preschool concepts in this ongoing circle time class. Circle time is also referred to as morning meeting in some schools. This is a time of day for young learners to come together to work on preschool concepts and kindergarten readiness, as well as prosocial school behaviors such as raising your hand and taking turns talking and listening. As a former preschool teacher, this course is inspired by the morning meeting I used with my preschoolers; the main difference being this class uses slides and visuals instead of a physical calendar in front of a physical carpet full of children.

Because this class is ongoing, you can enroll at any time. The letter of the day, number of the day, and shape of the day change every week, so attendance at the previous week’s class is not necessary; it is fine if you jump into the course at any time.

This class includes:
-greeting
-morning message
-question of the day
-months of the year
-calendar
-pattern: AB pattern or ABB pattern
-weather
-shape of the day
-number of the day (a number between 1 and 20)
-letter of the day (for reference, this class follows the Phonics First Foundations sequence of letter introduction)
-rote counting (1-20)
-spot the difference
-comparing
-goodbye

I hope to see your learner in my class!

Class Policies:
——————————————————————————————————————————
1)I will log into the classroom approximately ten minutes before class starts. Learners will stay in the waiting room until the scheduled start time.
2)Classes begin at the scheduled start time even if all learners are not in the classroom.
3)I aim to end class as close to the posted time as possible, but due to the varying pace of learners in every class, it is possible the class will end a few minutes early or late.
4)If a class does not meet the minimum enrollment requirements, I will contact the learner’s parents the day before and ask if they want to continue with that section or transfer to another one.
5)If no learners show up, I will wait 10 minutes before exiting the classroom.
