Preschool Math With Teacher Lauren
Class experience
This class will be meeting 2x a week for 5 weeks. In each class we will be going over basic preschool math skills for our little learners. This is a beginner class or a review class. We will introduce our topic for the day. our topic will go over basic preschool math skills. Each class will have interactive games that they students will do together. A example of this type of game would include students given a treasure chest on the screen and they have to put 7 pieces of treasure in the box....
Parents please feel free to substitute items that are needed for class with items that you have on hand at home. Markers or crayons, scissors and glue will be a staple needed for most classes. Class One- Colorful popsicle sticks in red, blue, green and yellow. You can find these at a craft store or a dollar store for $1. You can also make your own by coloring plain popsicle sticks. If you can not find them no worries, please just use strips of paper. Red, Blue, Yellow and Green dot markers or you can use paint and a cotton ball if you do not have the dot markers. Materials found in classroom. Class Two- M&Ms (if your child can not have M&Ms feel free to use the candy or snack of your choice. Please let Ms. Lauren know so she is aware during class.) Red, Yellow, and Green pom poms ( You can find this in a craft section at a local dollar store for just $1. If you can not find this please use something else using those colors. Please let Ms. Lauren know of the substitution so that she is aware during class.) Materials given in the classroom. Class Three- 5 building blocks red, yellow, blue, green and white. This can be any size. If you do not have legos please let Ms. Lauren know. She can suggest something else you can use. Materials found in the classroom. Class Four- Markers and crayons Materials found in the classroom Glue Scissors Class Five- 8 toothpicks, 1 small container of play dough. Scissors Markers and Crayons Materials found in the classroom. Class Six- 15 Skittles Materials found in the classroom Class Seven- Materials found in the classroom. Class Eight- Materials found in classroom. 8 buttons, coins, or counters. Anything you can cover a small box with Class Nine- 20 goldfish crackers (If you do not have goldfish crackers Ms. Lauren can suggest other items you can use) Materials found in the classroom. Class Ten Materials found in the classroom.
