Learners can request a free learning assessment from their educator after enrolling. Families are provided with assessment materials to administer, which will then be uploaded to the classroom tab for your educator to review. Welcome to our exciting pre-k to kindergarten class! We are a group of licensed educators thrilled to invite your preschooler or kindergartener to join our engaging and interactive virtual class hosted by Quantum Montessori. This class is designed to spark curiosity and foster a love for learning in young minds. We meet over Zoom twice a week for 1.5 hours each session, offering a rich blend of activities that integrate STEAM, Social and Emotional Learning (SEL), and Literacy. IN OUR CLASS, WE WILL: ⭐️ Explore Literacy: Embark on magical reading adventures and develop early writing skills through fun and engaging activities. ⭐️ Dive into STEAM Projects: Investigate the world around us through science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics, promoting critical thinking and creativity. ⭐️ Nurture SEL Skills: Engage in activities that promote self-awareness, empathy, and healthy relationship skills, helping your child build a strong emotional foundation. ⭐️ Enjoy Social Time: Build friendships and practice collaboration in a supportive virtual environment. WHAT MAKES THIS CLASS UNIQUE? Although I do not have Montessori credentials, I bring a wealth of experience and a passion for early childhood education. Our program is fully accredited by CONGIA, ensuring a high-quality learning experience for your child. Each session is carefully crafted to create a nurturing environment that encourages exploration, independence, and a love for learning. CLASS OUTLINE Our class will continue on for the full 2 year cycle breaking every 12 weeks to reevaluate and make adjustments based on learner needs. 🤝 Week 1: Welcome Wonders – Assessments & Icebreakers 📘 Week 2: Exploring Our World: An Introduction to Education Focus: ELA, math, science, social studies, and economics lessons integrated with journaling and SEL activities. 📕 Week 3: Language Adventures: Building Foundations in Literacy Focus: Letter recognition, sight words, phonics, and basic reading and writing skills. 📙 Week 4: Numbers in Action: Exploring Math Concepts Focus: Counting, basic operations, and problem-solving through hands-on STEAM projects. 📗 Week 5: Our World, Our Community: Understanding Social Sciences Focus: Geography, culture, history, and basic economic principles with journaling and SEL activities. Our class integrates a comprehensive curriculum with a personalized, project-based learning experience tailored to each student’s needs. 2. How does the personalized schedule work? We tailor class times to fit seamlessly into your weekly routine, offering flexibility and consistency in your child’s education. 3. How will my child’s progress be assessed? Through observations and traditional assessments, we continuously monitor and adapt your child’s learning plan. 4. What support will my child receive aside from academic instruction? We provide holistic support, including emotional and social development, fostering a love for lifelong learning. 5. I don’t have any experience homeschooling, will I need to help my child with their work? Our virtual program was created with both learners and their families in mind. Learners do not need to have previous Montessori experience and home-educators do not need to have any previous teaching experience for their learner to participate in our classes.

At Quantum Montessori, we understand that every learner is unique and learns differently, and that is why our learning pod is tailored to meet the individual needs and interests of each child. We believe that by creating a supportive and heart-centered learning environment, we can help our students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. With this in mind, we strive to assist learners in achieving the following learning goals:
1. Develop Positive Social Skills: Learners practice cooperating, communicating effectively, and showing respect to their peers in a virtual learning environment. They will also learn to value the diverse backgrounds and perspectives of their pod mates.
2. Develop Self-Government/Regulation and Independence: Learners will learn how to manage their own learning and become more self-sufficient. They will learn to take responsibility for their work, manage their time effectively, and seek help when needed.
3. Foster a Love for Learning: In our learning pod, our top priority is to inspire a love for learning in our learners. We believe that when children are engaged and passionate about their education, they develop a lifelong love for learning that will stay with them throughout their lives.
4. Develop Critical Thinking Skills: Learners will be challenged to think critically, problem-solve, and make decisions independently. They will also develop their creativity and learn to approach tasks in different ways.
5. Build a Strong Foundation in STEAM: Through a combination of Montessori and STEAM-based activities, children will develop an understanding of science, technology, engineering, art, and math concepts. They will learn to apply these skills in real-world scenarios.
6. Cultivate Empathy and Compassion: Learners will have opportunities to learn about and empathize with people from different cultures, backgrounds, and perspectives. They will also participate in community service projects to develop a sense of compassion and responsibility towards others.
7. Encourage a Healthy Lifestyle: Learners will learn about the importance of physical and mental health through age-appropriate activities and discussions. They will be encouraged to make healthy choices and develop healthy habits.
8. Develop Digital Literacy Skills: In today’s digital age, it is important for learners to develop digital literacy skills. They will learn how to navigate and use technology safely and responsibly.
9. Encourage a Love for Nature: Learners will have opportunities to learn about the environment and develop an appreciation for nature. They will learn about sustainability, conservation, and taking care of the planet.
10. Foster a Growth Mindset: Learners will be encouraged to adopt a growth mindset and believe that they can develop their abilities through effort and practice. They will learn to embrace challenges and view mistakes as learning opportunities.

We offer individualized learning, multisensory activities, and STEAM projects to accommodate ADHD and Dyslexia.
Parental Guidance
On occasion, Google slides will be shown on-screen during live classes.
Quantum Montessori has created in-house and/or licensed a large library of virtual materials that will be shared via Google Links in the classroom tab to provide learners access to Montessori materials. Some materials (such as golden beads) must be printed and cut out before class so that learners have access to the same learning supports.
Supply List
In addition to regular school supplies (pencils, colored pencils, markers, etc...), students will need access to a printer. Using noise canceling headphones and a device large enough to clearly see the screen is also recommended for attending classes.
