Preschool & Kindergarten: Circle Time With Phonics 5X a Week!

Welcome all preschoolers and kindergarten students!

This class will meet 5x a week everyday. We will learn daily concepts during circle time including days of the week, months of the year, weather, colors, shapes, numbers & number counting, letters & letter sounds. We will learn new phonics sounds and connect the sounds to words and build sentences. Once we've covered all letters, phonics sounds and number we will return back to letter A, number 1 and phonic sound "S" (it will basically be a loop).  The children will be given worksheets to enhance their understanding after our mini lesson. 

Before every class worksheets will be uploaded for students to reinforce what they've learnt in class and to improve their skills. 

We will have music & movement in class for students to get them moving engaged.

Class Structure

1. Greetings/How are you?, Good Morning/Afternoon Song, Warm Up Dance 
2. We will move onto circle time. 
    Calendar: Days of the week, Months of the Year, The date and Year.  
    Number of the week and counting using different objects. 
    Letter of the Day and singing our alphabets song. Introducing words that start from the letter. 
    Learning our weather and how to dress up for example if it's sunny we will wear T-shirt, shorts, slippers/sneakers.

3. We will move onto our phonetic center time where they will learn how to first say the sound, connect the sound to words, and making simple sentences out of the sound. 
4. They will practice how to write the letter of the day and number of the day using the worksheets provided to them prior to the class. I request the parents to please print it out before class and if you don't have a printer accessible no problem. The students can use paper and crayons/makers/pencil/color pencil that is available at home. A dry easer board will also work! 
5. Thank you for joining the classroom and we say our goodbyes. 

Note: if time permits I will include some games related to the phonetic songs. This could include matching the sound to the correct word. 

I encourage all children to participate in the class but if a child is not comfortable they wont be forced. It would be best if children will put their hands up to give their answer to be fair to the others in the class. I believe everyone should be treated fairly.
