Learners will be active by jumping and counting, singing, and moving too! We will read "Five Little Monkeys Jumping On The Bed" by Eileen Christelow together and act out the story. Learners will practice counting skills by jumping as we count by 2's and 5's. Fingerplay and songs will be throughout the lesson. We will read "Count The Monkeys" by Mac Barnett together as learners practice counting on their fingers. We will end by slow counting backward from 10. Learners will practice saying...
Learners will improve their counting skills with counting 1-10, counting by 2's and 5's, and backward from 10. We will be introduced to the letter "M" and it's sound.
Bring toy or stuffed monkeys if you have them.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
20 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
