What's included
1 live meeting
45 mins in-class hoursClass Experience
We will meet together already in our costumes. We will learn a Halloween song which we will sing a few times throughout the class to help with memory. We will have costume show and tell so everyone can share their costume. This allows us to practice both speech and listening skills. We will vote on a Halloween story to listen to and answer comprehension questions about. We will also work on a simple craft related to the holiday as well. This helps children develop fine motor skills as well as learning to follow directions.
Learning Goals
Students will work on presenting their costume, being a good listener to their peers, improving fine motor skills through a craft, developing language and vocabulary through a song, learn about voting, and practice listening comprehension with our story.
Other Details
Parental Guidance
I always love when parents attend with their children when possible. Though only students should be speaking during the class to improve communication skills.
Supply List
Paper: one orange and one black Glue: either a glue stick OR a small amount of glue in a small disposable container and a q-tip Note: We will be tearing paper, not using scissors. The same muscles used to tear paper are later used in properly holding and controlling a pencil. This is an educational decision.
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
