Class experience

US Grade Preschool - Kindergarten
Students will master letter-sound correspondence for 13 letters of the alphabet during part 1.
Students will learn letter-sound relationships systematically.
Students will practice sounding out words with letter-sound blending.
Students will build phonemic awareness by manipulating letters and identifying how new letters change existing words. 
I have a current teaching license in elementary education and an endorsement in reading. I have been tutoring and teaching students for twenty years. My combined experience and extensive literacy training provides me with the techniques and strategies to help your student feel successful in their reading journey. 
Homework Offered
Each week I will provide you with a list of suggested books, activities, and resources to support your students continued learning and letter recognition throughout the week.

With permission from Learning Dynamics, we will be implementing the 4 Weeks to Read Curriculum during our class. 

I encourage you to purchase the Learning Dynamics Curriculum found on Amazon; however, it is not required to participate. 
This box set includes an activity book, 53 colored books to encourage your student's reading development and build fluency, flashcards and much more. If purchasing the boxed set is not something you wish to pursue, you could consider buying components of the set that you feel are most helpful. 

A more detailed list of weekly supplies and materials will be supplied before the start of class. (Paper, worksheets, 1 package of construction paper, scissors, glue...)
