In this four-part, small-group class, preschool students will get a taste of the French language and learn some basic words and expressions. With the exception of instructional directives, I try to use as much French as possible in class so that students get used to hearing the language. NOTE: Students with no experience would be best to begin with my "Preschool Fun in French - Part 1" class, unless they have been introduced to French elsewhere and can introduce themselves, count to 5, and know some colors. Feel free to message me with any questions or concerns. Each class starts with the hello song and introductions, and closes with the goodbye song. For each day's theme, I will use fun and colorful PowerPoint slides, realia, and gestures to keep them engaged. Class 1: Seasons (Les saisons) Class 2: I like... I dislike! (J'aime ___, Je n'aime pas ____) Class 3: Shapes (Les formes) Class 4: Big & Small (grand(e) et petit(e)) Students will receive an optional fun printout activity after each class to practice at home. NOTE: I do my best to make things clear and engaging in class, but due to their young age, students may benefit from parental assistance, especially if they need help muting and unmuting themselves, or staying at the computer. *** PLEASE NOTE ** : When enrolling, check the dates and times listed for each section. Some sections may meet 1x/week or others 2x/week in order to accommodate a wider variety of learner scheduling needs. ***
Learning Goals
Students will gain confidence learning and repeating key words in French. They will learn to identify the difference between English (or their native language) and French through hearing the French language.

I am an educator and teacher who lived in France for over 6 years. I currently give private and group French lessons, and love to share my passion for languages with students. I worked at a bilingual preschool in France in 2015, where I often used music to teach language to my young learners (ages 2-5).
