Description
Class Experience
In this four-part, small-group class, preschool students will get a taste of the French language and learn some basic words and expressions. With the exception of instructional directives, I try to use as much French as possible in class so that students get used to hearing the language. Each class starts with the hello song and introductions, and closes with the goodbye song. For each day's theme, I will use fun and colorful PowerPoint slides, realia, and gestures to keep them...
Students will gain confidence learning and repeating key words in French. They will learn to identify the difference between English (or their native language) and French through hearing the French language.
I am an educator and teacher who lived in France for over 6 years. I currently give private and group French lessons, and love to share my passion for languages with students. I worked at a bilingual preschool in France in 2015, where I often used music to teach language to my young learners (ages 2-5).
Students will receive an optional fun printout activity after each class to practice at home.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
20 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
