Class Experience
Each week, we will learn beginning French through art, music and speaking. Week 1: Students will learn to introduce themselves. Students will then drawn themselves and label parts of the body in French. Finally, to help remember what we've learned we will sing, "Alouette." Week 2: In week 2, students will learn the names of food. Real life examples of common foods will be held up for the class and we will learn to say each food all together. - Students will have a beginning vocabulary at the end of the 4 weeks that includes basic manners, introducing themselves, how to point and ask for certain foods, how to say please and thank you in French and how to describe their immediate surroundings which include where they live and the people who they are with on a daily basis.
I am a pre-school and kindergarten French Montessori teacher. French was my first language.
Please have colored pencils and crayons and paper available for each class.
I suggest that children be encouraged to practice the songs that we learn in class because it helps them to remember their new French vocabulary.
