Description
Class Experience
We will be learning our basic shapes and how to make them. We will learn to use shapes as the building blocks for more complex drawings. We will start to improve our motor control. We will work on learning colors. We will build young artists perception of their strengths and abilities.
None though students are always encouraged to try and redo what they learned in class, practice makes perfect. This said, I do not believe in homework or forcing students to create art as that takes away the joy of the process.
Please make sure your child is ready at the start of each class :) I recommend 2 pieces of paper, a pencil with an eraser, and I have a personal preference for colored pencils over markers as markers destroy a student's hard work when used.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
I do not believe in grading art nor would I ever consider it for a young artist.
20 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
